So glad you’re doing this-when we get a chance, I’d like to sit down with you and talk about the best way to get my kids started with a Book Club in the LA group when we start rotating. I want to do the class novel, of course, but also more sharing/presenting with their own books. In your book club, do the kids all read the same book, or share whatever AR book they’re reading at the time?

I am reading Ferret Island, and so far I think it’s interesting because a famous author named Daschell Potts is trying to take over all of the McDonald restaurants. But fourteen-year old Will Finn is trying his best to defeat his treacherous plan.
Ms. Rankin, I’m reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. It’s a very interesting book about wizards and witchcraft. I’m hoping I could finish the book; it’s really long!!! But it is interesting. I bet I could finish.
I’m reading Ghost Buddy, and I really like it because it’s about a cool ghost who does a lot of mischievous things! 🙂
My book is Who is Maria Tallchief? I think it is really good book because it tells everything in her life. It is very interesting!!!;)
I barely got this book. I picked this book up because it is 2 points, and my friends told me it is a good book. The book is called Thea Stilton and the Ice Treasure.
I am reading Dork Diaries Tales from a Not-so- popular Party Girl. I really like this book because I don’t really like reading, but this book just makes me want to read. I like all the characters, and it’s really interesting. I would like to read more of the other books.
The book that I’m reading is about John F. Kennedy. I just got it today, but I can tell that is a great book.

So far, I barely started it; however, I already know that this book is an interesting book. I know something really bad is going to happen, but I know that George and Harold will solve it.

The book I am reading Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck. it is about Greg Heffley who is having bad luck. His friend, Rowley Jefferson, left him for a girl.
The book I am reading is Running Out Of Time. The book is about a girl named Jessie who is trying to save her two sisters from dying. I got it because it is serious, and I am interested in the book.

The book that I’m reading is Judy Moody Goes to College. I got this book because just by looking at the cover it looks funny. I was right; it is funny.
I enjoy the book Showoff because it’s very interesting. I think the funny part about the book is when Ben said, “Get a load of the poodle next door, talk about a fuzz ball with a shaved butt.” 🙂

I am reading a Harry Potter book by J.K. Rowling. It is very long, but I think I can finish it in time for the book talk. It is very interesting by the way. It has action, adventure and lots of fantasy which is what I really look for in a book. This book just makes me want to read all day long!
Thank you for writing to us, Mrs.Davisson. The book I’m reading is Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. So far Jeffrey Magee (Maniac) untied Cobble’s Knot (which no one had ever untied before.) So far from what I’ve read, it seems like a good book!

I am reading Charlie Bone and the Hidden King, and it is a very good book because it is part mystery and adventure. I am at the part where Charlie is about to travel into a painting.
The Book I’m reading is Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The part I am in is when Katniss is in the Quell. She finds two girls named Twill and Bonnie. Katniss asks what are they doing in the Quell, and Twill and Bonnie say they are running away from District 8. Katniss knows why. When she came to the Mayors house, she went in the mayor’s office, but she wasn’t supposed to. When she came in, she heard beeping in the mayor’s computer. She looked in, and it says DISTRICT 8 UPRISING. That’s why Twill and Bonnie are running away from District 8.
The book I am reading is called The Hunger Games – Catching Fire. It is an amazing book to read because it is very interesting and action-packed! When you read a part of the book, you just want to read more and more. I definitely recommend this book to everyone because The Hunger Games is a great series of books and movies! I think that Suzanne Collins is a magnificent author because she expresses all the characters’ feelings.
I am reading The Magic Tree House Blizzard of the Blue Moon. I really like this book because it’s an adventure, and it’s an interesting book to read!!! 🙂 🙂
I am reading the book The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. So far, the book is very interesting because Mr. Utterson and Mr. Enfield (friends of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde) have found an abandoned house, and Mr.Enfield told a scary but true story on their Sunday walk. Now I will have to read more now.
I’m reading about Barack Obama. It’s a very interesting book, Ms.Rankin. It has a lot of details and a lot of real live stuff. 🙂

I am reading Dark Day in the Deep Sea by Mary Pope Osborne. It’s about two kids that travel to a place and have to find the secret of happiness. They also have to help someone in need.

I am reading Who Was Elvis Presley? The book is really great. And it also is very interesting because when he was growing up as a kid, he was poor but had lots of enthusiasm. As he was growing up as a teenager, he loved to dance and sing. When he was all grown up, he became
a professional singer and actor. 🙂

The book I am reading is Little Women, and I think it’s interesting because I am in the part when Laurie gets sick from a disease, and the other sisters are worried and try to get medicine.

The book I am reading is Who Was Ronald Reagan? So far it is sad because his mother Nelle would visit prisoners and bring them apples and crackers even though they were poor. So that meant they wouldn’t eat good food. That is what I have read so far.
The book I am reading is called Big Nate. He is a timber scout. One day, he was skateboarding over a hill. Then there was a poodle and a lady. Then, Nate crashed into the lady and the poodle. Next, Nate skateboard went flying through the air, and it landed in oil. This is the book I am reading.
I am reading Hunger Games-Catching Fire. It is a good book. At the end of each chapter I just want to read more. There is something exciting in each chapter. It is full of action and suspense. I am really excited to read more of the books in the series.
The book I am reading is called There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom. It is really interesting. It’s about a boy who needs help because he gets bad grades. He enters the girls’ bathroom, and he lies about everything. Then, he becomes nice because his student counselor was Carla Davis. At the end of the book, he gets so mad at her and throws a book at her. He realizes that he made a mistake and went to talk to her. Carla Davis asked him, “Would you like to go eat?” He said, “No…because you are leaving!” Next, he returns on Saturday, and she wasn’t there because he got there too late. You should read it, Ms. Rankin!
